  • Residence of the Governor
    During 16th and 17th century, the building was used as the residence of the Governor of Skåne. And had such prominent guest as Swedish King Gustav Vasa and Danish king Frederik I.


The Mayfair Hotel is situated right in the city centre of Malmö, only a couple of minutes’ walk away from the railway station. The local and domestic trains depart from the railway station, but also the trains to Copenhagen city centre and Copenhagen airport, and the buses to Malmö airport. You will also find the Tourist information centre and an exchange bureau here.

Around the corner from the hotel is Stortorget, the square from which the main pedestrian street in Malmö starts.
You will find shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs and all sorts of entertainment within walking distance.

Just opposite the hotel there is a garage for which you can purchase tickets in our reception. 

For your information: Adelgatan, where the hotel is situated, is a one way street. If you arrive by car you can only enter Adelgatan from Hamngatan.

Please observe that, unfortunately due to the fact that the hotel in in a cultural heritage building from the 14th century, there is a very limited/virtually no access for wheelchair bound guests.
